EMOTIONS
Emotions are a medley of feelings,
At times hidden, and at times revealing,
Ever seen the spark in the eyes?
Of a mother who has given birth to a baby bright,
Ever wondered how relieved a few have been?
To have survived a catastrophe unforeseen,
Ever felt the excitement of a child for more?
When presented with toys galore,
Ever thought what the needy feel?
When they can give their children at least one square meal,
Ever felt the anticipation and fear,
With which a student waits as results draw near,
Ever thought how a pro feels to get a victory so much deserved,
After the huge disappointments earlier left him unnerved,
Ever seen the shyness on the face of a bride?
Even as she tries so very hard to hide,
Ever felt how it is to get soaked in the first few drops of rain?
And let go of all inhibitions, worries and pains,
Ever faced your mom’s wrath for a minor mistake,
And then the warmth of a reunion so lovingly made,
Ever felt what it takes for the heart to skip a beat?
When life paints a rosy red picture all so sweet,
Ever thought of what would happen if on and on I went?
This poem will take an eternity to come to an end…J
